Enhances antibody binding reactions.
Inhibits non-specific antibody binding reactions.
Has been demonstrated to be useful for most (over 100 different) two stage solid-phase assays where antigen(s) or antibody(s) are immobilized.
Inhibits many proteinases, hence can be used to predilute most protein standards and calibrators.
Works well with serum or plasma specimens.
Is exceptionally stable.
Facilitates steroscopic expression of antigens.
Ompatible with most commonly used blocking proteins for assays which require them.
Available in liter quantities or OEM prepackaged into specific vial sizes for kit production.
Serum proteins such as albumin fetal calf serum, etc. may be added for specialized assay requirement.
Has been demonstrated to be useful when circulating immune complexes interfere with the assay, e.g. ana assays.
